The Amorgos Women's Cultural Association, the Municipality of Amorgos, and the South Aegean Region are co-organizing the 13th International Amorgos Film Festival, which will take place from November 12-17, 2023. This festival will feature the participation, competition, and recognition of short films from Greece and around the world. It has gained international recognition and is a member of the CIFFT International Festival Committee, based in Vienna.
Simultaneously, the 6th Amorgos Film Academy will be held, bringing together students from various countries and esteemed professors in the field of cinema. The academy will include workshops and significant speeches about the world of cinema.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore various parts of the island, savor local products, and become acquainted with Amorgos renowned herbs. They will also experience local dances and music and interact with the island residents and locations, which can serve as inspiration for filmmakers.
Additionally, the Cultural Center will host the YPERIA Conference, featuring speeches related to culture, cinema, and its main focus, gastronomy.
The conference will showcase local delicacies and products from Amorgos and the Cyclades islands.
