On September 14th and 15th, the Hellenic Relief Foundation and their partner organization in Athens ΕΛΕΘΣΥ conducted their monthly food, clothing, and footwear distribution at their Athens headquarters, in partnership with six chapters of AHEPA Hellas, as well as the Social Committee of the Athenian Society.

The packages contained pasta, rice, flour, barley, oil, milk, and more. Around 320 packages were distributed, primarily to underprivileged families and individual beneficiaries.
The distribution was made possible thanks to the efforts of Ms. Maria Siourdi, director of the H.R.F’s partner organization ΕΛΕΘΣΥ, Mr. Anastasios Moussas, President of AHEPA Canada, former AHEPA Canada President Mr. Emmanuel Constas, as well as the following AHEPA chapters:
- HJ-02 “Glyfada” (Glyfada)
- HJ-04 “Solon” (Halandri)
- HJ-09 “Themistocles” (Piraeus)
- HJ-17 “Hephaestus” (Vari, Voula, Vouliagmeni)
- HJ-38 “Phalereus” (P. Faliro)
- HJ-55 “Thucydides” (Alimos)
Present at the distribution were AHEPA Hellas Governor Mr. Anargyros Tsounakis, whose participation highlights AHEPA’s contributions to society as well as their commitment to social responsibility. Also present was AHEPA Canada President, Mr. Moussas. The individual chapters were represented by Mr. Evgenios Bardis (President – Phalereus) and Sotirios Loïs (President – Themistocles.) This partnership serves as yet another example of the power of cooperation, solidarity, and real world contributions when individuals and organizations join forces for a common cause.
The distribution was also notable thanks to the presence of Hellenic Relief Foundation founding members Mr. Phil Vogiatzoglou (Vogis) – Past Supreme Governor Region 3 (NY/NJ/DE) and Mr. Stelios Taketzis – Gold Coast Chapter #456 Manhasset, who traveled from New York, as well as fellow founding member Mr. Dinos Avlonitis.
