The Greek participation follows  the Memorandum of  Cooperation in the field of  tourism between the Greek  tourism ministry and the Saudi  Commission for Tourism and  Antiquities of the Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia, which was  signed by the Kefalogianni in  2014.

The events were attended by  more than 500 government  officials, representatives of  tourism ministries and experts  from 120 countries.

Zikos met with the general  secretary and it was agreed  that in the next few days there  would be a conference with  Minister Olga Kefalogianni in  order to finalise a proposal for  organising a conference in  Greece in the spring of 2024.

The presence in Riyadh of  Israel’s Tourism Minister, Haim  Katz, was of particular  symbolism, in a visit of the  utmost importance for  relations between the two  countries.
