In the spirit of Winston Churchill’s famous words, “From henceforth, we will not say that Greeks fight like heroes, but that heroes fight like Greeks,” we are reminded of the unwavering bravery that defined Greece’s resistance during WWII and continues to inspire us today.

The annual OXI Day commemoration honors not only those who served on the front lines of the crucial conflict, but all veterans who, like the Greeks in 1940, stood up against oppression and fought for a better world.

This year, we acknowledge our honorees and renew our commitment to preserving their legacy for future generations, with the hope of inspiring a new wave of respect and appreciation for individuals who uphold the values of liberty and justice.
