An event was held on Monday with the participation of companies that are members of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, focusing on the growth prospects of Greek-American business, investment, and trade relations within the evolving landscape of transatlantic affairs.
Secretary General of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce Alexander Kostopoulos, spoke about the potential of America. Regarding the role of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, he stressed the need for a substantial bridge between Greece and the United States that will create access, attract investment and support businesses of all sizes from both sides of the Atlantic.
In the discussion on the environment of prospects through Greek-American relations, EY CEO George Papadimitriou stressed the need “ to look beyond the rapid geopolitical instability by understanding and enhancing the potential of Greek business, particularly in sectors such as energy, new technologies, education and tourism.” Deputy CEO of PPC Alexandros Paterakis highlighted Greece’s new geo-economic role, as well as the new opportunities created in an environment that starts from the Mediterranean and reaches all the way to India.
President of IBM Europe & Middle East and Africa Spyros Poulidas stressed the need “ not to stop the necessary reforms that have allowed the growth of investments and strategic partnerships that create new perspectives”. Pfizer Hellas Chairman and CEO Zacharias Ragousis spoke about the multifaceted growth prospects that the broader health sector holds for Greece and everything that allowed his company to invest in it.
