Νέα Υόρκη. Στο 71ο Gala, το Ελληνοαμερικανικό Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο θα βραβεύσει τον εφοπλιστή Νίκο Τσάκο ως “Πρόσωπο της Χρονιάς”

Στο 71ο Gala, το Ελληνοαμερικανικό Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο θα βραβεύσει τον εφοπλιστή Νίκο Τσάκο ως "Πρόσωπο της Χρονιάς" την Παρασκευή 24 Μαρτίου 2023, στο Rockefeller Plaza στη Νέα Υόρκη.

Εναν ξεχωριστό άνθρωπο της Ελληνικής ναυτιλίας θα βραβεύσει φέτος το Ελληνοαμερικανικό Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο σε μια τελετή που θα γίνει στη Νέα Υόρκη την Παρασκευή 24 Μαρτίου 2023.

Ο εφοπλιστής Νίκος Τσάκος θα ανακηρυχθεί «Πρόσωπο της χρονιάς» για τη συνολική του προσφορά που δεν αφορά μόνον τη θάλασσα, αλλά πλώνεται σε πολλούς άλλους τομείς της επιχειρηματικής του δραστηριότητας και του κοινωνικού του έργου.

Το Επιμελητήριο ιδρύθηκε το 1947 από τον φωτισμένο Κυριάκο Τσολαϊνό, έναν δαιμόνιο Σμυρνιό που μετανάστευσε στην Αμερική και είχε διατελέσει στα νιάτα του έμπιστος του Ελευθερίου Βενιζέλου. ‘Εκτοτε ο φορέας έχει συμβάλει στην ενδυνάμωση των εμπορικών και οικονομικών σχέσεων ανάμεσα στις δύο χώρες.
