A special holiday celebration took place at the Embassy of Greece, featuring the gifted vocalist and multi-instrumentalist performer, Spyros Koliavasilis and his duet Melos. Together, they delivered an incredible evening of traditional Christmas carols from across Greece. Adding to the magic, two young children, Anna and Valeria, spontaneously joined in, captivating the audience and stealing the show with their heartfelt participation.
Traditional Christmas carols, known in Greece as “Kalanta,” are an integral part of the holiday season. Each region of Greece has its own kalanta, reflecting distinctive musical styles, dialects, and traditions.
