Some actors break through by shouting. Others do it by listening. Panagiotis Margetis belongs in the second group. His screen presence is quiet but certain, the kind of actor you keep watching without needing to know why.
Greek viewers will recognize him from Pagidevmenoi (ANT1) and Transparent Love (Alpha TV), where he played complex roles with restraint. He didn’t push too hard, and that’s part of what made the performances compelling. His ability to sit with silence and still hold attention sets him apart.
He’s also been choosing work that challenges traditional formats. In Biography of a Software, a hybrid film produced under the All of Greece, One Culture initiative, Margetis was one of just a few human performers. The rest was AI-driven. He grounded the project with an emotional presence that helped balance its experimental nature.
This year, he joined the jury at Cyprus Film Days in Nicosia and completed work on a short U.S. film created by AFI alumni. The film is expected to enter the festival circuit later this year.
Margetis keeps his focus on the work. His choices reflect a steady commitment to storytelling over spectacle.
